Medior Python Developer
As a Python Developer (Medior) at Born Digital, you will play a key role in building the brain behind our Digital Humans. This position requires a skilled back-end developer who is passionate about creating scalable, efficient Python applications that integrate seamlessly with databases and cutting-edge voice and AI technologies. You’ll be working with a cross-functional, open, and collaborative team distributed between Prague, Bratislava, and remote locations.
You’ll be responsible not only for backend coding but also for helping shape the core intelligence of our Digital Human platform—developing central applications that drive real-time, human-like customer experiences.
About you
🟢 You have at least 3 years of professional experience in Python backend development (not just in machine learning model work).
🟢 You have advanced knowledge of SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and either Flask or FastAPI.
🟢 You are comfortable working with PostgreSQL databases and optimizing database interactions.
🟢 You have basic familiarity with Docker and containerized application development.
🟢 You are a problem-solver with strong analytical thinking and a proactive mindset.
🟢 You’re experienced working within agile development teams and can adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
🟢 You’re fluent in English (written and spoken) and comfortable communicating technical concepts to your teammates.
🟢 You’re open to remote work or working from our offices in Bratislava or Prague.
Responsibilities:
✔️ Back-End Application Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based backend applications with a focus on high performance, reliability, and database integration.
✔️ Technology Integration:
Integrate next-generation technologies such as Eleven Labs and OpenAI voice solutions, as well as leverage advances in LLMs and LMMs to drive the intelligence of Digital Humans.
✔️ Database Management:
Build and optimize database interactions using PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy to ensure data efficiency and integrity.
✔️ Containerization & Deployment:
Work with containerized applications using Docker to support smooth deployment processes and scalability.
✔️ Collaborative Development:
Work closely with other backend developers, frontend developers, DevOps, QA engineers, and product owners within an agile framework, participating in regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
